Artizen Art Gallery recently held an exhibition titled ‘Unity in Diversity’, a group exhibition of paintings, photographs, graphics and sculptures. Organized by Agnipath (an artists’ collection for national interest in peaceful action for harmony), the exhibition showcased the works of more than 300 artists from 24 states of India and abroad. The show was held at the Artizen Art Gallery, part of the Pearey Lal Bhawan premises located at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, ITO.

The aim of Agnipath is to organize artists under a platform and provide them resources to create artwork on the themes of national integration, Indian Art, culture, education, women empowerment and human rights. The show was inaugurated on December 6 and was open for public viewing till the 9th of December. The exhibition was open from 10.30 am till 7 pm.

In a coming together of similar entities with vision, Agnipath joined hands with the Artizen Art Gallery, both known for promoting young artists and giving them a public platform. Artizen Art Gallery provided the perfect foil to the sculptures and paintings with its serene ambience and verdant greens.

As part of the exhibition, they organized the 6th Agnipath All India Art Competition and Exhibition 2015-16 which had three main categories, the senior, junior and the differently abled artists.

Entries were invited for paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, graphics and computer designing. The show recognized the artists with cash prizes and medals. Cash awards worth Rs 55,000 and thirty gold, silver and bronze medals for different categories were given out. As part of the exhibition, artists were also honoured with the Agnipath Kalarattan Samman and the Agnipath Kala Shri Samman. As part of the exhibition, a play was also organized by Agnipath and was held at the auditorium in Pearey Lal Bhawan.

The show received massive response from the general public and the artists alike.

There were close to 500 entries from 23 states across India and the public enthusiastically appreciated the displayed artworks. All in all, an extremely eclectic mix of artists came together and created amazing art for the connoisseurs.
