Priyanka Chopra – The International Icon

Starting at the young age of 18, Priyanka Chopra’s journey has been nothing short of a roller coaster; with ups and downs, twists and turns. No matter what life threw at her, we saw Priyanka Chopra rise like a phoenix. Her modest, humble and genuine attitude with her ambitious and zealous outlook has made her reach an unimaginable position in life. No matter where she goes, she makes our country proud.

“Any transition is easier if you believe in yourself and your talent.” says Priyanka. This quote from Priyanka describes her journey in the most apt manner. Her transition from being a Bollywood superstar to a Hollywood actor has been incredibly inspiring. She made a mark in the Hindi Cinema with her hard work and created a niche for herself. She is counted amongst the top actors of Bollywood.

There was more for her to add to her list of achievements. After releasing her singles ‘In My City’ and ‘Exotic’ she showed us another side of her. Soon she got her own ABC network show, Quantico, as a lead actor. It was all uphill from there for her. Her belief in her talent and her ambitious nature turned her life around. Post the success of her show, she started starred in Hollywood films like Baywatch and Isn’t It Romantic. This however, didn’t end her career in Bollywood. It’s interesting to think of the journey she has been through with the incessant travelling, dealing with jet lag and still giving impeccable performances.

She has experimented with unconventional roles like in Barfi, What’s Your Raashee?, Kaminey & 7 Khoon Maaf further proving her talent. There is a lot to learn from her dedication, hard work and commitment.

Being in the public eye and in an influential position she has always made voiced her opinions on world issues. She has taken advantage of the position she has reached to motivate the mankind in the right direction. Whether it is her association with the dating app Bumble or being the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, her multifaceted personality has been nothing short of a positive influence on the globe.

She has also been a writer among other things. She has written as a columnist in the Hindustan Times and The Times Of India, an article for the Guardian, an op-ed for The New York Times but it does not end there for her, she is also going to release her memoir titled Unfinished this year. She is the true definition of a self-made woman with numerous achievements to her name and many more to come. She’s winner in her professional and personal life.

She recently married Nick Jonas, the wedding being nothing less than a fairy tale which also reminded people that age is just a number and that shouldn’t stop a woman from marrying the man she loves. Commemorating each other’s religion by having two ceremonies, Nick and Priyanka had everyone gushing over their happy moment.

Priyanka has successfully made her place as an International Icon. She is known and celebrated all over the world, motivating and inspiring many. With many titles to her namelike the Forbes World’s 100 Most Powerful Women, People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Women In The World, Variety’s Power Of Women Award, she has made her country proud and continues to do so with each passing year.
